EMEC shortlisted in Insider Magazine East Midlands Property Awards
We are delighted to announce that we have been shortlisted for this year’s East Midlands Property Awards in the “Regeneration and Restoration Project of the Year” category.
As part of our entry, we explained EMEC’s role in creating or restoring ponds to provide sustainable developments where great crested newts (GCN) can thrive as part of a scheme called District Level Licencing (DLL).
Through delivery of the DLL scheme, EMEC has successfully built or restored 104 ponds and created over 1 hectare worth of specifically dedicated and sustainable GCN habitat which in turn increases wider biodiversity.
In particular it was our scheme at Brabazon Farm in Leicester, that caught the judges’ eye and it is this project that has been nominated for “Regeneration and Restoration Project of the Year”.
The awards evening, now in its 22nd year is to be held on Thursday 8th September at the De Vere East Midlands Conference Centre. The evening celebrates and promotes the very best the East Midlands has in real estate, construction, and design.
Commenting on being shortlisted, EMEC, Consultancy Manager, Dr Ed Tripp said “To be nominated for such an award, is a major boost for us and recognises the hard work and dedication our team puts towards ensuring positive conservation outcomes. Regardless of the result, to be nominated up against some of the East Midlands most notable property related businesses is a major achievement in itself.”
