Pond and Wetland Creation

EMEC’s land management team are highly experienced in undertaking a wide range of pond and wetland habitat creation schemes. Our staff have experience of creating ponds for great crested newt mitigation, creation of wet scrapes for breeding waders and restoration of wetland habitats to benefit a wide range of species including invertebrates and water vole.

Combining a sound ecological background with the skills and experience to undertake practical habitat creation; our team are able to use both traditional techniques such as excavation and clay puddling to create new wetland features. We use innovative solutions and new materials where appropriate, such as geo-textiles and bentonite liners.

We also offer installation of water management structures, including earth and pipe bunds and sluices and the re-profiling of drainage channels.
