Lauren joined EMEC in 2022 as a seasonal assistant ecologist and has since progressed to an Ecologist within the team.

She holds a BSc (hons) in Zoology and MSc in Conservation Biology, along with a Class 1 Great Crested Newt Licence. She is also a qualifying member of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM).

In her role, she leads small-scale projects and undertakes ecological appraisals and impact assessments, providing technical advice on ecological constraints and opportunities, including in relation to biodiversity net gain.

Lauren is working towards progressing her surveying and reporting skills to enable her to undertake larger-scale projects, and gaining experience to attain a Class 1 Bat Licence.

Outside of work, Lauren is an avid equestrian and enjoys spending her time with her two ponies and sausage dog, Douglas.
